Avanza and SCI enable HFB’s Next Generation Financial Solutions

Housing Finance Bank, one of the region’s most innovative banks, constantly takes steps to enrich serviceability and user experience for its customers. As part of its vision HFB invests in acquiring future proof solutions that can help evolve its business operations. Established in 1967 as a private limited company, in 2007, it was licensed as a commercial bank. HFB is now pursuing aggressive growth strategies to further the bank’s position in the market, the success of which depends on technological prerequisites like next-gen switching solutions and robust transaction processing systems.

Avanza Solutions through its channel partner SCI East Africa, was chosen to strengthen the core building block of HFB’s e-infrastructure strategy. With a state-of-the-art Self Service & Transaction Processing product portfolio, high service levels, and a strong presence in the African region, Avanza was  well equipped and geared to power such an infrastructure.

Recently implemented Avanza’s Novus  now serves as the front-end for all consumer interactions at HFB ATMs and POS terminals backed by Rendezvous as the enterprise bus for all transaction processing requirements, with Vision responsible for debit card production and end-to-end monitoring and management of the solution, and lastly, e-Reconciler as their Channel Reconciliation Solution, Avanza will be able to enhance the overall grip of HFB over its core banking, and enable it to provide an omni-channel experience by extending services to new channels and back-end systems across all its touchpoints.
